Dr. Gary Stamps and his wife, Stacey, launched Animal Hospital at Auburn Hills in Wichita, Kansas, in 2008. He created a place where his patients & their families could feel connected & supported while experiencing outstanding medical care. Dr. Stamps has practiced 29 years & now has an associate veterinarian, Dr. Sarah Dugan who has practiced 17 years. We are here to service the cities of Wichita, KS, Goddard, KS, Clearwater, KS, Maize, KS, Derby, KS, Cheney, KS, Viola, KS, Haysville, KS, Valley Center, KS, Colwich, KS and more!

History

Established in 2008.

Dr. Gary Stamps grew up in a family where pets were family members. Even today, his folks call their dog, "Riley" Gary's "brother." He volunteered at a local veterinary clinic as a 6th-grader and later worked part-time cleaning, walking dogs and observing the goings-on, dreaming of one day becoming a veterinarian. He completed his undergraduate work at Kansas State University in three years and completed Veterinary School in 1991 at the young age of 23!) He worked as an associate veterinarian for many years, always dreaming of owning his own hospital where he could take the time to listen, accurately diagnose and walk closely alongside pet families. In 2008 he opened Animal Hospital at Auburn Hills right as the country went into a financial recession. Many clients were laid off from work and Dr. Stamps helped countless folks care for their pets during the struggles, often telling them "We are here for you." That became our catch-phrase and motto and is truly the reason we are here.

Business Owner

Dr. Gary Stamps, DVM, is the owner and founder of Animal Hospital at Auburn Hills. He received his DVM degree from Kansas State University in 1991 (at the young age of 23!) and has practice medicine for 24 years, opening Animal Hospital at Auburn Hills in 2008.
He is committed to his patients, clients and the community and enjoys seeing how his patients fit into their family.
Married 21 years, Dr. Stamps' best friend is his wife, Stacey. They have three children, ages 17, 16 and 12; a Kansas Humane Society Standard Poodle named Reagan; cats named Kato (who lives at the animal hospital) and Birthday Cake.
Outside of work Dr. Stamps spends time with his family, running, and spending time with his church family. He is a member of the Kansas Veterinary Medical Assocation (KVMA), the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and the Wichita Veterinary Medical Associaton (WVMA).
