Established in 2001.

In 2001 Dr. Rains and Dr. Mayne merged their two practices to create Arrowhead Animal Hospital and moved into their current location in Blue Jay Village. "It was a great decision for both of us and for our community" says Dr. Rains. "The merge allowed us to build and equip a modern veterinary hospital that a single practitioner would have trouble financing and supporting. Indeed, their Arrowhead Animal Hospital has digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house blood profiling, computerized record keeping and amenities not found in many veterinary practices. Their partnership provides the foundation for a veterinary hospital that combines modern technology with old-fashioned care and compassion. Drs. Rains and Mayne are proud of their facility and their ability to provide first class veterinary care to the community they love. They feel fortunate for the opportunity to work together with a talented and caring staff in one of California's most beautiful landscapes.
