Established in 2009.

Best Friends Animal Hospital has had a long standing history of quality veterinary care in the Valley Village community for over 20 years. Recently changing management in 2011, BFAH is fully equipped with state of the art technology, highly trained doctors and a compassionate staff. With an emphasis on preventative medicine and client education, BFAH works closely with owners to provide pets with the best care possible. Erica H.

Business Owner

Dr. Erica Heim is a native of Los Angeles. She grew up in Encino and attended Westlake School for Girls. She then earned her B.A. in Biology at Vassar College in New York. A move to San Francisco followed, along with a job as a receptionist at a veterinary hospital there. Dr. Heim fell in love with the work instantly and quickly moved to working as a veterinary technician for the next four years. She attended Ross University and completed her clinical training at the University of Missouri. After college, Dr. Heim moved back to Los Angeles and began practicing medicine. Dr. Heim has worked at several practices over the last five years, and spent the last two and a half years in practice in West Los Angeles. No longer a nomad, Dr. Heim is excited to make Best Friends Animal Hospital a permanent home.
