Led by veterinarian Dr. Araba Oglesby, Blue Sparrow is comprised of professional, dedicated animal lovers who bring years of experience and skill. We specialize in treating canine and feline patients and focus on the whole patient, not just a cluster of symptoms. Blue Sparrow is a forward-facing practice that combines traditional Western medicine with complementary modalities to ensure the best care for your pet.

For more than 25 years, Dr. Araba has been passionate about animals. From her canine companions and feline friends of San Francisco to the black howler monkeys of Belize, Dr. Araba has cared for them all! The owner of Blue Sparrow Holistic Veterinary House Calls, Dr. Araba brings together the very best of both Eastern and Western medicine to offer your pet outstanding expertise and care. Dr. Araba received her DVM from Ross University in 2006 after completing her clinical curriculum at Purdue University. She worked in general practice at Linda Mar, then pursued her small animal rotating internship at SFVS, emphasizing emergency medicine. Dr. Araba again worked in general practice at the SF SPCA before rejoining SFVS as an associate emergency veterinarian, where she worked for 4+ years. She has been an integrative house call veterinarian in the Bay Area for over 5 years, receiving her integrative education and training through the Chi Institute. She is also Reiki certified.
