Serving the wonderful pets of Mill Valley, Tiburon, Belvedere, and the rest of Marin County since 1980, Camino Alto Vet Hospital has become a trusted name in pet care. In May 2014, Dr. Shruti Vaikhary took the reins, bringing her passion, expertise, and a fresh perspective to continue legacy of care and compassion. We continue to be privately owned Vet office. We’re not just a veterinary hospital – we’re a community. For years, we’ve been fortunate to see the same pets grow from playful puppies and curious kittens into wise, old companions. And through it all, we've earned the loyalty of generations of pet parents who trust us to take care of their furry ) family members. Dr. Shruti Vaikhary graduated from P.A.U (India) with honors in 2000. Her passion for animals led her to further hone her skills at the prestigious Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she completed her clinical year. She completed masters in Pharmacology. With over 18 years of hands-on experience in small animal care , Dr. Vaikhary brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every case. Her approach isn’t one-size-fits-all; she tailors each pet’s care plan to their unique lifestyle and needs. Whether it's preventive care, internal medicine, or surgery, she’s committed to providing the most effective and compassionate care possible. Dr. Vaikhary has also spent several years working in emergency medicine, where she gained invaluable experience in high-pressure situations. Her philosophy is simple: A happy, healthy pet starts with proactive, personalized care. Dr. Vaikhary’ s goal is to make sure that each pet not only lives a long life but a high-quality one.
