Compassionate end-of-life veterinary care provided in the comfort of your home. We are a house call vet / mobile vet service. Our mission is to prevent the pain and suffering that can be associated with end-of-life and provide the most stress free experience possible. We are a veterinary clinic on wheels providing pet euthanasia services and more in the comfort of your home. We are a network of local veterinarians founded by Dr.Brian VanHorn. We are located in San Francisco & our experienced team offers the highest quality veterinary services to pets in and around The City. While most of our patients are dogs and cats, we are available to assist with a variety of species including rabbits, exotics, fish, birds, pigs and pocket-pets. We are a cat vet, dog vet and more. We offer quality of life, hospice care and humane euthanasia services. Often our clients wait to contact us when immediate end-of-life care is needed. Sometimes we are called when a pet owner is ready to "put to sleep" their pet. Other times we begin a relationship at the time of early decline to help the client make decisions and/or provide palliative care at home. For all of our patients we are most concerned with pain management, providing the highest quality of care and creating a stress-free experience for pet and guardian. Golden Gate Veterinary Home Hospice & Euthanasia is a network of local veterinarians and technicians directed by Dr.Brian VanHorn and Jennifer Sawyer, RVT. Our practice is dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life veterinary care for companion animals in the comfort of their home.

Business Owner

Dr. Brian VanHorn and Jennifer Sawyer, RVT founded Golden Gate Veterinary Home Hospice and Euthanasia in 2010. They saw a need to help pets and their people with the end-of-life process in their home. Although their work can be heartbreaking they have heard over and over from their clients the invaluable service they provide. Helping pets and their people say good-bye gently in their homes is now their life work and how they give back to the community.
