Established in 1977.
Dr Elden Austin started Hutchinson Small Animal Hospital in December of 1960, his son Jonathan, the current owner and doctor took over operations in 2000. Our family has provided quality, ethical veterinary care for the pets of Hutchinson for over 50 years!

Dr Austin grew up in Hutchinson, attending Buhler schools, then KU in 1987, and then K-State Veterinary college (DVM) in 1991. He practiced in Kansas City, Colorado, and Branson, MO before returning home to take over his family practice in 1995. He has 2 sons, and is active in the Hutchinson community. He has served on the boards of Red Cross, TECH, Prairie Dunes CC, etc.
