Dr. Shawhan has 30 plus years in all aspects of veterinary medicine, and is the chief surgeon and hospital director. While not being a Board Certified surgeon, he has spent the last 30 years performing all types of surgeries, including orthopedics, reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. Dr. Shawhan received the Humanitarian Award from Houston Pet Placement League and was named one of the Best Veterinarians by Houston Magazine in 2004. His special interests include reconstructive and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Shawhan enjoys golf and spending time with his wife, Tracy and 3 sons, Matt, Grant and Brad. He has two Vizslas, Guenther and Izzy, and a Maltese, named Mia.
