Dr. Grote, after selling Arden Animal Hospital in 1998, decided after a short hiatus to bring his compassion and veterinary knowledge to help people understand what is going on with their aging pet.

Dr. Grote has been practicing veterinary medicine and surgery in the southern California area since 1982. He has owned and managed 3 practices during that time. The last one was Arden Animal Hospital in Glendale, CA. Since then he has been involved in veterinary medicine in different capacities, doing consulting, specialized surgery and general practice. He now only works with geriatric pets in end of life situations.
