Parkwood Animal Hospital is a small animal clinic specializing in personal care for your pets. We believe in treating them as our own pets, and treating each client with personal care. We practice high-quality medicine: performing well-care, surgery, dentistry, radiography, and vaccinations. While we practice in a small facility, we think that we can offer you more personalized care for your pet and spend time getting to know you, your family and how best to meet your pet's needs.
History
Established in 1982.
Parkwood Animal Hospital was started by Bruce Tarkington, and has recently been purchased by Dr. Michele Stech, upon Dr. Tarkingon's retirement in 2010. Our practice has been taking care of patients in and around the Research Triangle for almost 30 years.

Dr. Stech has been caring for pets of all kinds since her graduation from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993. She has gladly settled into one of the best places to live with her husband and young son.
Dr. Stech believes in the right care for the right situation. She feels that a full hands-on approach is mandatory, getting to know not only the pet(s), but the owners as well. She believes in treating each as family members rather than objects or numbers which may sound old-fashioned, but it is what makes this practice and her career so joyful.
