The San Francisco Bird Hotel is a resort and Spa for Birds offering exclusive bird boarding, birdie day care, parrot limo, bird grooming, administering medication, Hotel shop and Squawk & Play community events. We also take care of pocket animals like hamsters, bunnies, rats and Gunia pigs.
History
Established in 2006.
The Hotel started as a hobby in 2006 in a private residence. In January of 2014 we moved our business to a commercial space in South San Francisco. For many years we operated on "Word of beak" advertising alone based on our reputation for exclusive bird boarding and professional parrot care. Solid statistics show the steady growth of the San Francisco Bird Hotel from 34 guests in the year 2010 to almost 2000 bookings in 2019. We have a number of special services like the Parrot Limo, Birdie day care, Frequent Flyer miles and our Hotel Shop selling bird food, bird carriers, toys and T-shirts.We also have established an online shop for your convenience with delivery service in a radius of 10 miles. We offer frequent bird grooming services and also administer medications to birds if necessary while in our care. Our " Squawk & Play" summer parties have become very successful were bird people can meet, mingle, and build bird toys. Our parties provide fun for birds and humans !

I can look back to a wealth of bird care experience having been surrounded by my flock of Amazon parrots for over 20 years. I grew up with "Neptun", my childhood pet Cockatiel whom I had to leave behind in Europe when I left my own nest. I speak fluently and understand Amazonian, Cockatilian and Toucanian and I am proficient in Budgie talk and African-grey slang. I love them all and I can relate to their moods, desires and needs. It is my pleasure to provide their favorite foods, shelter and the best care possible while at their home away from home. Over the years the San Francisco Bird Hotel has developed into a sacred place where all bird souls are happy and every pet-bird owner is able to travel with the necessary peace of mind! We are happy to provide this very needed service for parrot care.
