SaveABunny. Save A Life A New Generation of Rabbit Rescue

History

Established in 1999.

SaveABunny is a nonprofit, animal rescue organization based in Mill Valley, CA. Formerly operating as the San Francisco/Marin House Rabbit Society, SaveABunny left HRS in 2006 to offer a "new generation" of rabbit rescue. SaveABunny is recognized as a leader in rabbit rescue efforts and model for building effective partnerships with animal shelters and community groups, such as the Girl Scouts. We believe that the humane and responsible treatment of animals reduces the number of unwanted and homeless animals and contributes to a more tolerant and compassionate society. According to the ASPCA, rabbits are the third most frequently euthanized animals at shelters. These rabbits include lovin grabbits who "ran out of time," "unadoptable" rabbits with health or behavioral issues, and rabbits requiring surgery or medical attention from neglect or abuse. Once a rabbit enters SaveABunny, he or she will never "run out of time" and will always have love and a home until adopted.
