Established in 2013.

At Tama Veterinary Hospital, our journey began in 2013 when Dr. Tama opened a small practice focused on honest and compassionate care for pets. His dedication attracted like-minded veterinarians who shared his vision, allowing us to grow. By 2014, we proudly received the "Best of Milpitas" award, a recognition we've maintained each year since. This reflects our commitment to excellence and the trust our community places in us. In 2022, we moved to a larger facility nearby, enabling us to better serve our clients and their pets. Our team has expanded to six skilled veterinarians, all dedicated to our core values of care and integrity. Today, we serve thousands of families in our neighborhood, offering services from routine check-ups and vaccinations to urgent care and emergencies. Dr. Tama Mumah T.

Business Owner

Dr. Emmanuel Tama Mumah has been dedicated to veterinary medicine for over 22 years. He earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from ABU Zaria in 1991 and holds a Master of Science in Parasitology and Entomology, along with completing the Educational Commission for Foreign Graduates Program in Las Vegas, California. Before founding Tama Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Mumah worked as an Associate Veterinarian in Fremont, gaining experience in both regular and emergency care. He also managed Veterinary Clinical Services at a specialized laboratory in Mountain View, developing skills in advanced diagnostics, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and imaging. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Mumah has taught veterinary students, sharing his expertise with future veterinarians. His interests include internal medicine, laser surgery, dermatology, and imaging. Dr. Mumah is committed to providing quality care for pets and supporting their families through every step of their health journey.
