Still open during Covid-19. The Petsitters has been providing expert pet sitting for 40 years. We now specialize in cat sitting although we also care for other small mammals. We are famous for leaving our clients happy pets, detailed notes about our visits and clean homes. We also contact you if there are any issues or questions so you know exactly what is going on while you are away.

History

Established in 1984.

Elaine Perednia started The Petsitters in 1984 and has operated it continuously 365 days a year since then. We are kind, knowledgeable, reliable, and professional. The Petsitters operated with no break even throughout the disastrous 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. In the aftermath of the earthquake we brought our own water to areas with no water, cleaned up broken glass and rubble so the pets wouldn't cut themselves or get hurt, and climbed 14 stories of stairs in the dark in a downtown high-rise where there was no electricity. Nothing gets in the way of our care for your pets.

Business Owner

Elaine has been a full time pet sitter since 1984. She previously worked in 2 S.F. hospitals as a clinical laboratory scientist and has a B.A in Microbiology, a B.S. in Clinical Science and a M.S. in Counseling. She is great with healthy pets and pets with medical needs as well. She has special expertise in cat care, cat health and cat behavior.
